you have to say "i'm in" whenever you ssh into a machine for the first time, it's the law

@egrasmed If I say "I'm in" from my home office and there's nobody to hear that, did I really say "I'm in"? :blobthinking:

@egrasmed does it reset when you reinstall an OS on it, or do other things that result in functionally different install?
